Bray Leino Splash was Splash Interactive, a small vintage SG agency, that tried to revitalise themselves as a tech company with this really weird UK company’s name but the tech in VN is so bad. Imagine boomer-era of websites. You will get blamed each time tech makes a mistake, because they refuse to admit their incompetence. The sg team was alright when I was there, visual design and accounts was efficient but the bottleneck is once you get to the tech side of the project. Most of those guys were either retrenched or have left for their own sanity. There is always problems with costing and man-hours. Of course you’re going to have high man-hours! Your tech team logs in every hour they spend re-doing work they did shabbily at the start. They claim to know e-commerce but there are some members of the team who don’t even know how to buy things online! Management is a mess, they hired an md to rejig the agency, but he didn’t do anything. I guess his legacy is and will be retrenching employees. Morale is low, business is low, you will spend most of your time trying to win new business, on top of your own projects. Do yourself a favour and rethink the decision to join, if you’re here after an interview and wondering if you should make the switch.
